A dedicated Certified Public accountant, Certified Global management Accountant and Certified Tax Coach, with over thirty years of experience. Mr. Arlia is a native New Yorker and graduate of Bernard M Baruch College, where he was one of the students in charge of the VITA program and ran the Alphabet City Project. He also started the VITA program at Kingsborough Community College. While attending college, Mr. Arlia was employed with the law and accounting firm of Marks, Macchiarolla & Savino. At age 19, he was entrusted to travel nationally and internationally negotiating contracts on behalf of the firm’s client. In January 1990, as a junior in college Mr. Arlia established Arco Financial Services, which has been his primary focus since 1997. Arco Financial Services has since expanded into Arlia & Associates CPAs LLP, a full-service accounting, auditing, and consulting firm. His experience includes budgeting, planning, problem solving, performing risk analysis, directing multiple on going complex audits, facilitating the inclusion of proper internal controls as part of the systems development process with special emphasis on business engineering and forensic accounting, as well as hiring, training, and supervising team members. He is the recent co-author of the “Tax Detective.”
